Well at the close of the last month Ban competed in his first show and his maiden score was 67.71836365044157 for the In-Hand class. He didn't place but I am thrilled with his score and though he came in last he was also the youngest in his division by two years. To find out how we prepared him for that first show, head over to the Arena. We keep a detailed log of our training sessions and we have a comment box for anyone to leave ideas, voice concerns or just say hi.
I am finally settling into a rhythm with my two ranches. I've taken up residence in the guest houses on both ranches. Hooplah doesn't have a foreman or any full-time hands right now. I have a few on call just in case something happens and I'm unable to train. Most of the horses are retired to pasture and there are just three horses I make sure don't get missed. That will change when spring rolls around as every mare on the ranch but one is pregnant. Check out the Foal Cam to see who's expecting.
We are still thinking of how to best present our horses to you in this format. I will be updating those pages as I have time when I'm training and handling other paperwork. This site is already coming together much more quickly than I would have thought and I am constantly updating and coming up with new plans for it. Let's hope I can keep up with my ambitions. We are still in the construction phase around here so be careful. Try not fall into any stacks of solar panels or anything. Those things are expensive.
